These contracts are for the Vocabulary and Vocabulary II packets. Students are to do days 1-5, weeks 1-24 on Vocab I and days 1-5, weeks 25-46 on Vocab II. They do not have to d the daily idioms or any pages between days 5 and 1. On Day five, they only do the 20 words of vocabulary match. Each of these packets are worth a .5. The appropriate contract must be signed by the student next to the line STUDENT and the student's name and date on the front of the contract. The English contract is very generic and used for Welcome to Grammarland and 1001 Vocabulary Words, in addition to books they read. I pair the books up and usually there are booklets in the file cabinet upon which sits the globe. The drawer with the Surgoen Generel's Warnig sticker on it has booklets that are handed to the student. They are to use the booklet to help with any confusion they have with the book. Most of the assignments are in the back of the booklet. They are to answer ALL study questions, ONE essay question, and take a test on the computer at www.sparknotes.com They must get 80% to pass. If they don't pass, let them review and take it again.

Enrique's Journey, by Sonjia Nazaro. Students will read this book about a Honduran immigrant who's mother goes to the United States to find work. No spoilers here so read the book. The assignment is to write about your own experience with immigration or to talk to an old timer about what it was like around the Valley years ago.
